I have a question; 

Did both Damon and Elena realize in 3x09 that the dagger would kill Damon if he killed Klaus?

Did Damon actually know that’s what would happen and just wanted to suicide or was he not aware of that?

Because if he was, then Delena wouldn’t have questioned Stefans motives.

I’m just curious :) want to properly wrap my head around the storyline over the hiatus xD
